Former editor-in-chief of Fakty and Mitty weekly and former Palikot Movement MP, 52-year-old Roman K., was sentenced to 10 years in prison by the Lodz court, Radio Lodi reports. Prosecutors have accused the man of, inter alia, calling for the murder of Eva K.'s ex-wife and acting to the detriment of the company he runs and which is involved in the publication of the weekly.
Roman K. was arrested more than 3 years ago. Investigators say he had to convince two men to kill his ex-wife and offer him at least half a million zlotys for it, Dziennik Łódzki reports.
In addition, as a result of Roman K.'s fraud, the company which managed to lose approximately PLN 1.2 million. The man also had to extort damage from insurance companies by pretending to be the theft of two cars.
