Prime Minister on minimum wage: unannounced 700 plus

– We want the payment to be more decent for people to earn at the European level. Hence the increase in the minimum wage by 200 PLN – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiec during his visit to the company Staropolanka in Polanica-Zdrój.

He added, "During these four years when we were in the government, the salary increased by 700 zlotys. This is our unexpected 700 plus. We want as many people as possible to earn above the minimum wage.

Watch: Public debt has exceeded one trillion zlotys. Economists, however, are calm

What happy employees and the government do not always enjoy the employers. They offer in 2020 the minimum wage to be 2387 PLN gross. For its part, the union claims that the minimum wage must amount to exactly PLN 2,520.

The Prime Minister also thanked the company's management for keeping the Polish mark.

– The market is tough, the fight for customers continues. I am full of optimism, as Polish companies are performing well on the market. It is worth investing in Polish brands, "said Mateusz Morawski.
