The Data Protection Authority made a check at Prahova Health Insurance Fund (CAS) after the personal data of more than 18,000 insured persons, namely their names and addresses, were published on the institution's website. ,
The lists are published so people can know that the Romanian post has returned their health cards.
Following CAS's decision to disclose these data, the Personal Data Protection Authority amended CAS Prahova by 8,000 lei.
Prahova Sima Mihai, the interim director, said on Saturday to the MEDIAFAX correspondent that the sanction would be appealed in court.
She said that given the fact that the institution it manages does not have a fine for the budget, the money will be personally backed up.
Simona Mihai said that the decision to publish on the CAS Prahova website the names and addresses of insured persons who did not acquire the health cards belong to the "institution" and was taken with his consent.
