Epic Games is sued for hacking Fortnite blogs

Law firm Franklin D. Azar & Associates has filed a class action lawsuit against Epic Games.

More than 100 people accuse Epic Games of "not following the right security measures and alerting users to security issues in a timely manner."

In January this year, Epic Games acknowledged that due to security vulnerabilities, personal information stored on Fortnite accounts became the property of cybercriminals. Epic Games corrected the vulnerability. It has been reported that attackers can access the personal information of millions of Fortnite users, but how many people are affected is unknown.

The lawsuit states that Epic Games did not directly notify Fortnite users affected by a security issue. The claimants "are interested in ensuring that their personal information is protected from past and future cyber security threats."
