Nvidia reported second-quarter results that ended on July 28. In the last three months, GPU's leading developer revenue was close to $ 2.6 billion, down 17% from the same period in 2018. At the same time, the company's net profit has halved over time: from $ 1.1 billion to $ 552 million.
In recent years, Nvidia has significantly diversified its business, but the gaming division still generates most of the chipmaker's revenue. In May-July, the Greens earned $ 1.3 billion in sales of GeForce GPUs.
The announced amount is 24% more than in the previous three months and 27% less than the second quarter of last year. However, at that time, the rates of many cryptocurrencies were several times higher than they are now, and cyberstallers are still buying video game cards, though not as much as six months earlier.
Nvidia received $ 291 million from the sale of professional accelerators on Quadro and Tesla lines. The automotive division earned $ 209 million in revenue, showing a 30% increase over time while data center products sold $ 655 million. Revenues from the OEM segment and intellectual property licensing total $ 111 million.
This quarter should be more productive for Nvidia – its company plans to end with $ 2.9 billion in revenue.
