The US lawyer's criminal hand has not yet been transferred to Xiaomi, so the company remains one of Google's closest partners. She recently announced that Xiaomi Mi 9 owners participating in the MIUI 10 beta testing can now join the beta beta testing program based on the Android Q Beta platform. So, this flagship smartphone of the Chinese brand is one of the first to take part in Android Q official beta testing.
The update method is quite simple. If the smartphone has the latest firmware version for developers, it can be updated directly via OTA and retain its data. If a trial version is used, after unlocking the bootloader, you can upgrade with the firmware via the cable – in this case all unsaved data will be lost.
Xiaomi smartphone software director Zhang Guoquan has released screenshots of his phone with the Android Q version of MIUI 10. They give some insight into the latest version of MIUI. Judging by the thumbnails, the MIUI 10 user interface for Android Q is not much different than the Android 9 Pie version. This is not surprising – the main update salt lies in the transition to Android Q beta. For more significant visual changes, users can only expect MIUI 11.
According to Google, when creating Android Q, developers have focused on improving their privacy features. In Android Q, users can choose whether the app can access the device's location while running in the background. When an application uses location, microphone, or camera data, the user will see the relevant icon in the notification bar. In addition, Android Q also supports the dark mode and brings many other innovations.
