The Egyptian campaign, part of Israel's international boycott campaign, addressed an open letter to Orascom on the development and development of the event, calling for its cancellation "in solidarity with the Palestinian people against the crimes of the Zionist enemy."
Orascom, owned by Egyptian billionaire Samih Sawiris, announced at the end of May the first Lopez concert in Egypt to be held in the new Mediterranean city of Alamein on Friday 9 August.

She noted that the singer "provoked the feelings of Arabs and Palestinians" when she published in her account publications in "Ingram", which expressed "support for Israel and its racist policy towards the Palestinians, as well as the publication of her photos", and behind occupied Palestine and wrote "Israel, which I am in love with,"
Last Thursday, Lopez revived a concert in Tel Aviv, marking his 50th birthday.
Many Arabs, especially Palestinians, were enraged by the publication of photographs of her visit to occupied Jerusalem and the wall of Burak.
