The dollar exchange rate rose against the Egyptian pound at a number of banks operating in Egypt during trading on Thursday, after a period of calm during the Eid al-Adha holiday.
The dollar climbed the National Bank of Egypt and Banque Misr by one penny to record 16.52 pounds to buy, and 16.62 pounds to sell.
At the International Commercial Bank, the dollar rose by two pias to 16.53 pounds to buy and 16.63 pounds to sell.
The dollar rose by 3 piasters to 16.53 pounds to buy and 16.63 pounds to sell at the Arab-African International Bank.
At the Alexandria Bank, the dollar rose by three piasters to 16.53 pounds to buy and 16.63 pounds to sell, and the dollar price at the National Bank of Greece to two pounds, to 16.52 pounds to buy and 16.62 pounds to sell .
