CAN 2019: Egypt lowers ticket prices to put an end to controversy



Egyptian Organizing Committee of African Cup of Nations announced a slight decrease in ticket prices for Egyptian matches during the competition (21 June to 19 July).

The African Nations Cup Organizing Committee for 2019 (CAN 2019), to be held from 21 June to 19 July in Egypt, has announced a decline in Pharaon's ticket prices. Last month, the announcement of tariffs sparked controversy between some supporters who considered them too high. The Organizing Committee has undertaken to review ticket prices.

– The Commission […] decided to reduce the cost of third-class tickets for Egyptian matches in the first round of 200 to 150 pounds (about 10 to 8 euros) he posted on Twitter.
