The current number of diseases in mosquitoes in the Trebišov district has increased again

Trebišov. In the Trebišov district, the number of mosquito diseases has increased again, the Health Service has reported 33 cases.

Most, sixteen were sick in Sečovce and in Parchovany, where they were nine years old.

Three cases were in Trebišov and Hrčeli and one case in the villages of Plechotice and Kravany, told Ms. Daša Račková, spokesperson for the Public Health Service (ÚVZ).

There has been an increase in the number of diseases in the district since September.

"The Regional Public Health Office in Trebišov provides anti-epidemic measures in epidemics in collaboration with health care providers, school facilities and field assistants," the spokesman said.

The most sick are among children

This disease mainly affects those who live in poor hygienic conditions.

Most cases are seen in children who have not reached the age required to vaccinate against measles.

Epidemiological investigations continue.

Overall this year, 37 diseases were reported in the Trebišov district.

Previous measles epidemics in the Michalovce and Sobrance districts were stopped, the latest disease reported on September 20, 2018.
