Mercedes-Benz has for the first time brought to Slovenia a base class A sedan that complements the classic hatchback and is an alternative to the more impressive Mercedes CLA for some drivers. Today, the Slovenian actress Katarina Time is driving such a car.

The compact cars class is very important for Mercedes-Benz on the world level of the premium market, and even more so in Slovenia. It represents two-thirds of total sales. The news is now the introduction of the Class A limousine, which is traditionally not written on the skin of European customers. It was created mainly due to demand in the US and China.

Longer than hatchback and convenient to open the door

Compared to the classic hatchback, the new car has a lower aerodynamic ratio, an additional 50 liters of luggage space, the possibility of opening the rear doors with a "brco" under the bumper and a 13 centimeter additional rear ass. There is little room for head rest, but according to Mercedes still enough for a single-child family.

Compared to hatchback, the limousine is about 1300 euros more expensive. This CLA is more intriguing and, in principle, also measures a different circle of customers. The limousine A is 14 cm longer and has 60 l more luggage. It costs three thousand dollars more expensive.

There are no noticeable differences in the front, the essence is hidden in the back. Limousine performances have traditionally been worn in Europe in Europe.

The news in Slovenia is the revised GLC and GLC coupe, which we tested this year at a presentation in Germany. The refined GLC will stay in Slovenia from 49,000 onwards while the GLC compartment is more expensive than five to six thousand euros.

What are the available drives?

A Class A sedan will initially be available in Slovenia with a 1.5-liter diesel engine and two gasoline engines (1.4 liters and two liters) in several executive versions.

The power of the petrol engines ranges from 100 kilowatts to 225 kilos in the AMG version 35. The basic limousine A will cost nearly 28,000 euros while those with at least two-liter engines will have at least 33,540 euros. The price of the diesel version starts at 30,670 euros.

This year the limousine A will also be available with additional diesel engines (110 kW and 140 kW) as well as an additional hybrid drive. The next year, among other innovations, is the most powerful AMG A45 S 4MATIC (310 kW).
