Holidays The Swedes' interest in traveling by train to other countries continues.
In the spring, it was forecast that sales of railcards this year would increase by about 60 percent compared to last year, when 17,000 cards were sold. Now the increase seems much larger.
In the first seven months of this year, 85 percent more intermediate cards were sold compared to the same period last year, according to the Silverrail company, which distributes the service to Swedish dealers, writes Sydsvenskan.
In the first half of this year, the adult group increased, ie. 28-60 years. This may be due to the debate over flying combs, but I believe more of the different factor that one is tired of the usual charter trip to the Mediterranean, Jonas Folk, a sales manager at Silverrail, tells the newspaper.
