The music sync feature between Chromecast and Home devices has been awaited by many users. Not a few, people who have used Chromcast to play music on a stereo system that is or on their TV, and it's equipped with Google Home devices, have lost the ability to group different devices and create flexible multirum solutions. But after an update by the Google Assistant, it's okay now. In other words, for example, open Spotify and play the same music both through Chromcast and Google Home at the same time. However, you must first create a group, which is done through the Google Home application, which determines which devices should be included, and of course they must be connected to the same network.
More devices on time
Adding TV with the Chromecast to the group will provide information about the music playing on the screen. And support for more screen-based devices is underway, including the Google Home Hub itself (which unfortunately cannot be purchased in Sweden) and the LG Xboom WK9 will soon receive support. With new synchronization capabilities, Google is now taking full steps to become a potential challenger for many established multi-room solutions. We have tried pairing Chromecast Audio with a Google Home device and announcing that it works properly.
