Soon it is possible to lock WhatsApp with fingerprints

WhatsApp users will soon be able to require fingerprint authentication to log into the app and view messages. The privacy feature is now part of the latest beta of the app (v2.19.221).

You can still receive calls even though the application is locked, otherwise it would be impractical. WhatsApp can be locked immediately after exiting the app, after one minute or after 30 minutes of inactivity. You can set whether notifications still appear in the notification menu.

The option will appear in the WhatsApp settings (Account Information> Honesty > Fingerprint lock).
