Paris Saint-Germain coach Thomas Tokel on Saturday announced the absence of Brazilian star Neymar for his second match in the French league.
"Neymar is not training with the group and we will wait another week for the team to start," Tuhoul said of the Paris Club match against Stade Rehn on Sunday.
Neymar, who has recently been injured in the ankle, wants to leave Paris Saint-Germain and return to his former club Barcelona, but the move rejected the possibility on Friday after Barcelona agreed with Bayern Munich to take Brazilian Felipe Coutinho to the German club. Coutinho will likely be part of the Paris Saint-Germain deal if Neymar returns to Barcelona.
The 27-year-old Neymar moved from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain two years ago for a record deal worth 222 million euros and Neymar's contract with the Paris club until the end of June 2022.
Neymar said in an interview with the O My Jules channel on YouTube that the most beautiful memories of his victory with Barcelona against Paris Saint-Germain were six goals scored in the 2017 Champions League Final.
