The Development Bank funds 610 tourism projects in various Amman governorates

The Oman Development Bank has funded more than 610 tourism projects in various Sultanate governorates, with a total of 52 million RO.

The Omani Development Bank delivered a speech at the forum, Zahran bin Issa Al Rawahi, Director of the Oman Development Bank branch in Duqm Region. He stressed that the Oman Development Bank paid special attention to the tourism sector, which funded 610 projects over a period of 9 years worth 52 million. The Central Bank has been funded with a total RO value of 156 million. Banks continue to fund this sector with greater momentum to follow the government's strategic plans and programs that have been developed for this sector, emphasizing that the Bank will support the Ministry of Tourism's efforts in developing this sector.

Mr. Yaqub bin Humaid Al-Shuraiki from the Ministry of Tourism presented a visual presentation entitled "Procedures for establishing hotel projects on private land." He reviewed the types of hotel projects, explained the requirements for obtaining tourist project approvals, application mechanisms, documents needed, Number of tourist resorts, hotels and apartment hotels, tourist resorts, camps and rest rooms. Companies in the Ministry of Tourism explained the basic criteria for classification tourism companies in general and hotels in particular.

Sheikh Zayed Bin Ali Al Jabri presented a working paper on financing services provided by the Oman Development Bank and reviewed the Bank's main financing activities and the requirements to obtain financing in accordance with these products. He pointed out that between October 2009 and October 2018, and 513 loans, with a total RO value of 9,426,593, varied between value added and value added production and service projects, which contributed to opening the business horizon of national cadres.

The forum witnessed a review of the success stories of tourism projects financed by the Oman Development Bank in Al Wasta Governorate Salim bin Ali bin Suwaidan Al Ma'ari and Saeed Al Saadi reviewed two success stories for Central and Central Sawa companies to inspire entrepreneurs who looking for entrepreneurship in this sector.
