Samsung has removed the headphone port from its new flagship phones after the South Korean giant uses the headphone port on its smartphones as a marketing tool against Apple.
Samsung details what it was at the announcement of the phones (Galaxy Note 10) since the phones do not have a standard 3.5mm headphone port size.

The Galaxy Note series has historically tried to differentiate itself from Apple's iPhone through features that Apple does not have, such as an e-pen, expandable storage and a headphone port.
Samsung also made fun of the lack of a headphone port on the iPhone 7 in 2016 by showing someone using an iPhone with an attached set of adapters that allows it to listen to music and charge the device at the same time.
The implication was that viewers had to buy Galaxy phones from Samsung, which still have this feature, but it seems that the ad is no longer on Samsung's official YouTube channel as the company has removed most of the ads that made fun of Apple.
Phil Schiller, Apple's vice president of global marketing, explained why Apple decided to drop the headphone port, saying, "The reason for moving is the courage, the courage to go ahead and do something new that benefits all of us." .
Then Apple introduced its wireless AirPods, which quickly became the most popular Bluetooth headset and made switching to wireless headsets very easy.
The headset is easy to set up compared to traditional headphones, thanks to Apple's W1 chip and W2 chip in AirPods and Beats.
You can easily switch to listen to audio on other Apple devices, such as iPads and Macs, without reconnecting (AirPods).
According to the site (iFixit), Apple is found to have removed the headphone port to include a new engine (Taptic) in (iPhone 7), which provides vibrating feedback to devices with iPhones when they interact with the screen or receive signals.
Samsung's decision was not to push people to use wireless headsets, even though they sell Galaxy Buds similar to AirPods.
It also removed the headphone port to provide additional battery capacity and a correspondingly longer battery life for Galaxy Note users.
Although Samsung made a mockery of Apple removing the headphone port, it is clear that it can still sell millions of phones without a headphone port, and can make billions from a new commercial product like Apple did.
