Vitamin C for reducing diabetes – a statement

Taking vitamin C tablets twice a day can help millions of people with type 2 diabetes lowering blood sugar and blood pressure in their bodies, according to a new Australian study. According to Daily Mail, researchers at Deakin University in Melbourne found that taking two doses at low cost of 500 mg of vitamin C after a meal reduces blood sugar, with a 36% reduction in volunteers.

"The antioxidant properties of vitamin C can help to counteract high levels of free radicals in diabetic patients with some of the related diseases, such as high blood pressure, which has also dropped," said lead author Glen Waddle.
