With "Fingerprint" .. Android allows you to sign in to Google Apps

Google has introduced an update to its services that lets you sign in with your fingerprint instead of typing passwords on supported websites, and the update is now available on all devices running Android 7 Nougat and higher.

Depending on the feature, just by logging fingerprints on some Google services, the user will be asked if you want to use a fingerprint reader to log on from here, and the method works natively to apps and the web.

The authentication method is based on the FIDO2, W3C WebAuthn and FIDO CTAP standards for a simple and secure way of logging in using biometric data. Thanks to the FIDO2 standard, the web authentication method can finally be used not only for applications that support the Android Fingerprint API.
