Coronation street star Dolly-Rose Campbell came out as bisexual and credits Manchester Pride by helping her accept her sexuality.
Now the soapy star wants to use her expertise to help others come to terms with them because she wants to become a gay pride ambassador.
The Daily Star reports that Dolly, who plays Gemma Winter in the popular ITV soap, is a longtime supporter of the Manchester festival.
The 31-year-old star said: "For more than a decade I have come with pride.
"The love and approval of the people of Manchester allowed me to accept my bisexuality and to be proud of what I am."
Now that she has done this great step, she now wants to focus on helping others reconcile their sexuality.
Dolly-Rose became Ambassador to Manchester Pride and talked about the role.
She said, "The work that Manchester Pride does throughout the year to engage and create opportunities for people in the Manchester LGBTK + community and beyond, makes a huge difference in the lives of so many people."
Dolly-Rose has already taken steps to make the difference by releasing the new Manchester Prize announcement, this year's festival being held on Monday's bank holiday on August.
