The defender is going to be offered a new deal with Stockholm Stockholm, ready to offer him an escape route in his homeland
Mikael Lustig is set to talk about his Celtic future.
The Swedish international has not signed a deal in the summer and a new deal is due to be offered to him. AIK Stockholm is ready to offer him an escape route back to his homeland.
Tours have a one-year option included in this contract, and the 31-year-old is ready to extend his stay. But Lustig admits he will be forced to look elsewhere unless negotiations begin soon.
He said, "We'll see what happens, it's my contract and it's up to Celtic, so we'll see it in a few weeks, Celtic has a chance to get involved.
"We did it before, but they are always trying to improve the team, which is normal.
"I do not know what will happen, but it happens, but I'm for the team." While Celtic does good, I'm happy.
"But I'm here to fight for my position, I want to be here.
"I've always said I love this club and I love Glasgow, but I'm 100% sure I'll be back in Sweden one day." There's more history here, but I'm two weeks old.
"I always want to play for Celtic, but I know my abilities, and if they do not want me, I'm sure I will find a place where I will be happy.
