The PlayStation Awards 2018 is coming back once again and this time you can stream it live. The sudden cancellation of PlayStation Experience disappointed everyone. But Sony announced the PlayStation Awards 2018 so every fan can know which game was the best selling of 2018. We know that you are still confused between God of War and Spiderman PS4.

It's going to be the 24th Edition of this PlayStation Awards show. It's been held every year since 1994 and something Sony fans can not miss. 1994 is also the year when the first PlayStation came into existence. Though this 2018 year is going to be the biggest for the PlayStation Awards. 2018 was the year of amazing games and Sony worked very hard to steal away from the competition.

This event is going to include three big prizes for the games that sold the most. The prizes are as follows according to Sony.

  • Platinum Prize: Cumulative number of shipments (number of deliveries) Title exceeding 1 million
  • Gold Prize: Cumulative shipment number (number of deliveries) Title exceeding 500,000

PlayStation Awards 2018 is going to take place at Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa, Tokyo Japan. It's not for everyone as the people can only attend with it. If you are not one of them then do not worry as the PlayStation Awards 2018 will be streamed live on Youtube. You can follow the link here to watch it in English or Japanese.

Though what makes this year amazing and different from the previous is the amount of Sony exclusive games. It's going to be a tough competition when it comes to Sony exclusive titles such as God of War and Spiderman. Detroit Become Human is also a look out for one of the best games of the year.

That's not all as RDR 2 has also arrived recently taking away all the attention from other games. Personally, I think God of War was the best game of the year with everything perfect out of the box.

Now if you can not wait, you should check out the winners of the previous PlayStation Awards event here.

Sony is doing great when it comes to the console or games. Recently we got to know that Sony was the best selling console for the month of October 2018. PS4 is also the best selling console since launch in Australia.

We know it's too much to ask for but we might hear something about PS5 which has been in rumors for some time. The upcoming PS5 is said to be released at the end of 2019. It looks like Sony is going to surprise us. PS5 is rumored to come with backward compatibility support. PS5 dev kits are also available according to the reports and here's the list of devs that apparently work on PS5 games.

So you can tune in on December 3 to see if your favorite game gets the Platinum Award or Gold.
