A three-year-old boy from North Carolina, who disappeared earlier this week, told his family that he had "come out with a bear for two days."
3-year-old Casey Lin Hathaway disappeared on Tuesday from his grandmother's backyard while playing with other children.
The FBI, the state investigators, and the US Marine Corps from nearby camps at Camp Lejeune and Cherry Point joined the effort to find the boy. Hathaway was found on Thursday. It was a professional search and rescue team, the FBI said.

On Friday, the boy's aunt posts up-to-date information about the boy on Facebook.
"Casey is healthy, smiling and talking," writes Brean Hathaway. "He said he had been out with a bear for two days, and God sent him a friend to protect him. God is a good God. Miracles happen.
The Hathaway family said on Friday that Casey spent the day at the hospital "eating Cheetos, nuggets and watching" PAW Patrol "."

Craven County Sheriff Chip Hughes told reporters on Thursday that the authorities had found the boy after hearing someone call his mother. Then they found out that the boy was stuck in a "tangle of vine and thorns" about half a mile from the place where he disappeared, Charlotte said. The boy was found "wet, cold and scratched," but he could talk.
It was not clear when Casey was in those two days, and what allowed him to stay safe.
