BGT's Colin Thackery wants Colin Firth to play him in a "movie of his life"


Britain's Got Talent winner Colin Tukiri writes his inspiring life story – and hopes the daring Colin Firt will play him in the movie.

The 89-year-old Korean War veteran – the oldest winner of the television talent show – was also in a duet with Catherine Jenkins when his first album was released.

And after a whirlwind two months after his victory, the retired Chelsea hopes to see his biggest dream come true by meeting the Queen of the Royal Variety Show.

Colin, whose prize was £ 250,000, a record deal and a slot account for the prestigious show, said: "It would be the cherry on the cake if Her Majesty was there. She is an inspiration

"This is what I served. When I came in, you came in to serve the Queen. And it always has been. She has been a constant for most of my life and career.

"I saw the queen, but I never met her, so it would be an absolute dream."

A royal Colin has already met the grandson of Elizabeth Harry, who saw him at a recent event.

"His speech was wonderful," he revealed. "He said, 'What a great year it was – and we have the British Got Talent Champion in the room.' That was nice.

"Later Harry congratulated and would see me in November."

Colin's debut album was released on August 30 to mark the 80th anniversary of the outbreak of World War II.

And that could herald a collaboration with Welsh classic crossover star Catherine, 39.

Colin revealed: "She came to our club a few weeks ago and asked to see me. She said she wanted to sing with me. This is a dream We are on the same label, Decca, so watch this space. "

Colin will also return on television next month for Britain's Got Talent: The Champions.

But recording the show was bittersweet as it reminded him of his wife, Joan, who died in 2016.

"I'm singing Ed Sheeran's Flowers on the album and the show," he revealed.

"I got an emotional listening to the words – I had to pack her things after she died."

He touchingly added: "It would be nice to have this success sooner. It would be great to share it with Joan. "
