During Nintendo Direct, packed with great news from Switch, the company revealed that Toby Fox's Deltarune will come on the handheld and console hybrid. Chapter 1 of Undertale's follow-up will be available for free, and the later chapters – which are currently under development – are out of the question. In Toby Fox's real fashion, the announcement was made with a "censored, spoiler-free trailer" featuring the Undertale Delivery Dog tone, which was later confirmed to be not in Deltarune in such large quantities.
Undertale, which first came out on the PC in 2015, came to Switch in September 2018. Deltarune: Chapter 1 gets its port faster; for the first time at the end of last year on the PC to a very excited fanfare of Undertale. Toby Fox said the game is far from complete and that Chapter 1 is a demonstration of what we hope to come.
Deltarune: Chapter 1 will appear on Switch Eshop on February 28th. We loved what we saw when we first released it on a PC.
In other direct news, Nintendo announced Super Mario Maker 2 for Switch and gave far more details about Fire Emblem: Three Houses.
