Another weekend arrived at Fate 2, and with him the "Agent of the Nine" and his bag of exotic weapons and armor. Xur returns to the Solar System, ready to sell cool things from Year of Destiny 2 to help you get everything you miss out of the time before Forsaken.
You will find Xur this week on Titan, in the The Rig area. From the transverse point, from where you start from the area, head east and north to check a small annex near the edge of the platform.
As always, Xur offers a small group of random exotic weapons and armor: an exotic pistol and a piece of exotic armor for each class of heroes. The pistol this week is Crimson, a phenomenal hand tool, which is great at Crucible as well as anywhere else. He shoots three round bursts like a pulse rifle, but with the same force as the usual handgun. The landing kills with Crimson also treats you as if you are a vampire, and the precise killings load the magazine of the gun. Crimson is a pretty devastating big gun and if you do not already have it, you have to get it.
In the clothing department, Xur offers Frost-EE5 boots for Hunters, which accelerate your ability to cool the timers as you sprint and make you run faster after avoiding. Titans get ash cuffs that make your solar grenades explode at a stroke and make your grenade faster. Finally, for Warlocks, there's a Transversive Steps leg bumper. They make you run faster and automatically recharge your weapon in a few steps.
Here are all the offers of Exotics Xur this week and what it will cost you:
- Purple (exotic hand gun) – 29 legendary pieces
- Ashen Wake (Exotic Titan Gloves) – 23 legendary pieces
- Frost-EE5 (Exotic Bumper on the Hunter's Foot) – 23 legendary pieces
- Various Steps (Exclusive Warlock Leg Bumper) – 23 Legendary Pieces
Xur packs up some other convenient things. One is "Fated Engram," an expensive path to a new exotics. The dropping of 97 legendary pieces of the item will give you a year of exotics you no longer have for this character. You can also put the five Swords Challenge Cards for free, allowing you to add difficulty modifiers that increase your score in Nightfall.
This week in Destiny 2 does not happen much, but that will change. The new January 29 brings with it a new exotic mission called Draw. If Xur's products do nothing for you, Draw has to offer something new: Fortune Miners have found proof that the adventure will return the exotic fate 1, the last hand of the last word. The mission must have some important consequences for the story of everyone who followed along with what happens to Drifter, the hero who runs the Destiny 2 Gambit.
