South Africa gives Zimbabwe the end of July to collect permits



The South African Department of Home Affairs reported that there are still more than 3,000 results in the department of the Zimbabwean clearance permits not collected by the candidates.

In a circular message, the department said that all those who applied and did not receive feedback were kindly requested to take their VFS receipts and valid passports to the VFS office to collect their results.

The end date for all the gatherings is the end of July and then the results will be sent back to the interior for a certain period before they are destroyed.

The opening of the new ZEP was announced on 8 September 2017 following the expiry of the Zimbabwe Special Permit (ZSP). The process of applying for the ZEP project started on 15 September 2017. It aims to arrange the stay of Zimbabwean citizens in South Africa for work, training or legal business.

A total of 180 188 Zimbabweans have applied for ZEP authorization.
