The Department of Health Announces Services for the Week of July 29 – News – Orion Gazette – Orion, IL



The Fulton County Department of Health has planned the following health facilities and services. Please call the number listed with each service for a meeting or more information.

CANTON – The Fulton County Health Authority plans the following health care facilities and services. Please call the number listed with each service for a meeting or more information.

Maternal Health: Health Checks and Immunizations for Women, Babies and Children. Services include WIC Nutrition Training and Additional Food Coupons. A fee is payable for administering immunizations. The Medicaid recipients / All children are not charged. To make an appointment or to get more information, call 647-1134 (ext 254). For Astoria clinic, appointments are called by phone 329-2922.

Immunizations for Adult Health: Different vaccines are available. A fee is payable for administering immunizations. Medicaid cards are accepted. To make an appointment or to get more information, call 647-1134 (ext 254).

In other cases, it is offered under a special regime in Canton, Cuba and Astoria.

Screening of blood lead: Blood samples are performed for children aged one to six years. The fee is based on income. To make an appointment or to get more information, call 647-1134 (ext 254). For Astoria call 329-2922.

Family Planning: Confidential family planning services are available when you are assigned to a Cantonese family and men's office by a child. The services provided include physical examinations, parrots, sexually transmitted diseases, contraceptive methods, pregnancy tests, education and counseling. Services are available to individuals at all income levels. Charges are based on a sliding scale for service charges, which are provided free of charge to many customers. Medicaid and Illinois Healthy Women cards are accepted. An appointment is in an hour's time. To arrange a meeting or for more information, call 647-1134 (see 244). * Funding for the program includes grants from US DHHS Title X.

Pregnancy tests: A confidential urine pregnancy test is available in the Cantonese and Astorian offices. This service is available to women of all income. A nominal fee is charged. No appointment is required. The first morning urine should be collected for optimal research and referred to the health department. Services are provided on the basis of a walk in the following days each week:

Women's Health: Upon request, a female clinic for PP tests, breast clinical trials and vaginal research is available. There is a nominal fee for this service. Medicaid cards are accepted. Financial help is available for mammography. Cardiovascular screenings may be available to women who have the right to age and income. Mammograms: Elderly women and women who have the right to income can get mammograms free of charge. Speakers are available to provide information to clubs and organizations. For more information or to apply for financial support, call 647-1134 (ext 254).

Male Health: Blood tests for prostate specific antigen (PSA) are available to men for a fee. To arrange an appointment or for more information, call 647-1134 (top 224).

STI (STI): Confidential HPT and HIV testing services are available for men and women in the Cantonese office. Services include physical examinations for the identification of sexually transmitted diseases, various sexually transmitted disease tests, HIV testing, education, counseling, medicines and condoms. There is a nominal service fee. Services are available to individuals at all income levels. Medicaid cards are accepted. To make an appointment or to get more information, call 746-1134 (ext 224).

HIV Testing and Counseling: Confidential HIV testing and counseling services are available through appointment through the clinic for sexually transmitted diseases in the Cantonese office. To arrange an appointment or for more information, call 647-1134 (top 224).

Tuberculosis (TB) Testing: Tuberculosis skin tests are available free of charge upon request. To make an appointment or to get more information, call 647-1134 (ext 254).

Blood Pressure Checks: The Fulton County Department of Health provides a bloodless screening based on a walk in the following cases:

Health Health Program: Health Watch is a wellness wellness review service. Screening includes total cholesterol-HDL, LDL, triglycerides, PSA prostate screening, a blood sugar screen for diabetes, and a colon screen. There is a charge. Dental services: The Dental Center offers a variety of basic dental services for children and adults. A meeting is needed. The Medicaid and Kid Care cards are accepted. To make an appointment or to get more information, call 647-1134 (ext 292).
